We’ve been getting a lot of recommendations for a paleo challenge, and we have teamed up with Lurong Living to host an 8-week paleo challenge.
Step 1: Sign up for the challenge
To enter the Lurong Living Paleo Challenge, go to the registration page. A fee of $50 is required for a Participant (athlete) (the “Participant”). You must complete and follow all instructions on the entry form. Every Participant must be an active member of a CrossFit Affiliate and the CrossFit Affiliate must also be registered with the Lurong Living Paleo Challenge. ONCE YOU SUBMIT YOUR ENTRY, IT BECOMES THE PROPERTY OF SPONSOR. Entry Fees are non-refundable.
Step 2: Take Before Pre-photos, pre-measurements, pre-wod
A) Pre-Photos: It will be your responsinbility to take pre-photos of your body. This can, sometimes, feel uncomfortable, but a great way to see your success in the end! Use enough lighting and choose an outfit that you can wear before AND after.
B) Pre-Measurements: It will be your responsibility or have someone help to take the following measurements before the start of the challenge.
Waist: Place the measuring tape about 1 cm above your belly button (at the narrowest part of your waist) to measure around your body. Exhale and measure before you inhale.
Hips: Place the measuring tape across the widest part of your hips/buttocks and measure all the way around while keeping the tape parallel to the floor.
Chest: Place the measuring tape just under your breasts/pecs and measure around the torso while keeping the tape parallel to the floor.
Right and Left Legs (Thighs): Measure around the largest part of both thighs and record each measurement separately in the submission form.
Right and Left Arms: Measure around the largest part of each arm (biceps), above the elbow. Measure the same portion of the arm every time.
C) Pre-workout: there are 11 benchmark workouts to be completed throughout the challenge. Hoosier CrossFit will organize a day once a week to conduct the workouts. There will be open gym times available on Saturday mornings and Sunday afternoons for those who cannot make it.
