Specialty classes can be found in your mindbody account under the “specialty classes” tab. You can purchase classes online by enrolling for the class of your choice. You do not have to be a member of HCF to enroll in specialty classes.
Increasing range of motion is the key to helping you prevent injuries, not only in the CrossFit sport, but in life’s everyday tasks. Although we implement a lot of mobility during classes, you might struggle with real range of motion issues that require thorough, daily focus. Coach Jenna leads classes throughout the week to set you on the right path towards improving dysfunction and range of motion.

Olympic weightlifting, or weightlifting, is a sport in which participants attempt a maximum weight single lift of a barbell loaded with weight plates. The two lifts competed are the clean and jerk and the snatch. The compound word “weightlifting” is also often used to refer to weight training. In comparison with other strength sports which tests limit strength (with or without lifting aids), olympic weightlifting tests ballistic limits (explosive strength) with smaller weights, such that the lifts must be executed faster and with more mobility, because of a greater range of motion during the lifts. We use these lifts and their components to train for explosive and functional strength.
Coach Shaun, a Certified USA Weightlifting Sports Performance Coach, leads a 60-minute class. The focus is on mastering basic barbell movements with detailed progressions, plus integrate the more complex Olympic lifts. The Barbell Club is open to everyone ranging from hardcore Olympic lifters to those who have just been introduced to the barbell.
