Open to all current HCF members!

Every Friday night beginning at 6pm, join TEAM HCF in completing the 2015 Open WODs!

HCF already has a great community of members, but many of us don’t get to see each other on a daily basis due to the different times we walk through the door.

We will be getting teams of cross fitters (of all skill levels) together to compete in a fun, no-pressure setting to support each other as we test ourselves in this year’s open.

Here’s the general idea:
DRAFT:
Team captains will be chosen from the gym at large based on their influence, positivity and energy levels in classes and at events. These captains will then “draft” their teams by pulling names of those members who have signed up for the open, and want to participate, in a rotating draw and then notify their team members. Teams will be drawn the Thursday before the Open begins and listed immediately afterwards.

THE TEAMS:
Each captain will come up with a team name. Originality and creativity is encouraged and always appreciated (e.g. Kippin it Real, Can’t Snatch This, etc.).

POINTS:
+2 Points – Completing your workout with the other team participants at scheduled “Open Throwdown” event (we generally do the workouts once a week in large group w/ makeups on Sundays): Every member of a team that completes an Open workout at Hoosier Crossfit during the designated time (Friday night). Maximum two points per athlete per workout.

+1 Point – Completion of an Open workout during a non-designated time (make-up WOD) or a make-up WOD at another affiliate if you’re traveling.

+1 Point – Top 3 Male/ Top 3 Female: the top three male scores AND the top three female scores for Hoosier Crossfit will earn their team one extra point per athlete per workout.

+5 Points (team) – Spirit: The team with the most noise, pride, and PRESENCE each week will receive 5 bonus points.

+2 Points (weekly bonus) – Spirit of the Open. Voted on and based on individual effort; Not the size of the beast in the fight, but rather: the size of the fight in the beast.

At the end of the day this is supposed to be a FUN community event for ALL Hoosier Crossfit members! Any athlete of ANY skill level is encouraged to sign up for the Open, get to know your fellow crossfitters and have a good time with a great group of people.
